Grrrr... Even when they suck they still find ways...

The fact that they are scouting him doesn't suprise or bother me in the least. Isn't this exactly the type of thing your scouting department should be doing? What totally honks me off is that the year that the Packers absolutely suck they could end up with the number one pick in the draft where Matt Leinart is available. This probably won't end up being the case since the Houston Texans will probably end up losing more games but I've had to a least entertain this thought and it is enough to piss me off.

The fact that the Packers are scouting USC QB Matt Leinart made national headlines before the Steelers game. We hear the Packers consider this report anything but news. The front-office policy, as with most teams, is to generate their own reports on the top 100 prospects. Most teams do write-ups on the top quarterbacks, and the association with Leinart should not be construed as any dislike of Aaron Rodgers or signal the end of Brett Favre's career.
