Geev um, Bears!

Apparently having the #1 defense in the NFL has more benefits than just a playoff appearance. Yesterday the NFL announced that 5 Bear defenders have been named to the NFC Pro Bowl roster. along with Olin Kruetz, the lone offensive Bear player named.

Admittedly, I was suprised at some of the guys (Tommie Harris over Alex Brown, Adewale Ogunleye, or in my opinion the Bears' best D-lineman this year Ian Scott) named to join prerennial Pro Bowler (dare we say 2005 NFL Defensive MVP?) Brian Urlacher but I think that the number of players named was on par with what would be expected from the top ranked D.

Congrats to Tommie, Nate, Mike, Lance, Olin and Brian. You guys are truly "the pride and joy of Illinois."
